"Nature as Science" Inspiration Shoot

With Spring now in full swing, this inspiration shoot, from Meg Perotti Photography and Yelena Johnson of The Stylish Soiree, couldn't be any more perfect! With free-spirited nature lovers in mind, the gorgeous bride is styled in natural makeup and a headpiece wired with butterflies over long tousled tresses. From the endless botanical inspired design to the gorgeous watercolor letterpress invitations from The Aerialist Press (and yes, that exact invite is available to customize for your day) - I am loving this inspiration!

2012 Floral Trend: Dahlias

{Source}

 The Garden Rose, Sage, Jasmine, Dahlias, Wheat, Sweet Peas, Queen Anne's Lace... just to name a few of the flowers reigning over the 2012 wedding world. And as much as I love all the flowers on this list, I am particularly fond of one in particular, the Dahlia. The Dahlia is a beautiful, organic addition to any shabby-chic and rustic-garden inspired wedding. Ranging in size, texture and color it is easy to see why this stunning floral is all the rage!

Sweet Butterfly Wedding

Okay, I am completely head over heels for this sweet wedding from Susan Dean Photography. And as soon as you see the bride's incredible butterfly dress you will understand why - so amazing!

Aside from great wardrobe details seen throughout, the picturesque Twin Peaks Ranch in Ojai, California proved to be the perfect backdrop for this richly detailed October wedding - enjoy!

A bluegrass band played Appalachian folk music as the wedding party made their entrance - I love this idea!

After the ceremony the celebration moved to a lawn that overlooked a cactus grove, where guests enjoyed margaritas and hors d’oeuvres.

How about this idea for a guest book? A table of art supplies – from watercolors to colored pencils – for guests to “have fun and be creative.”
