A Very Vintage Halloween

With the big day set for October 27, 2012 I find myself day dreaming about all the fabulous Fall details I can incorporate into my design. Additionally, since the wedding will land on Halloween weekend I will definitely be incorporating some of All Hallows' Eve magic. But how do you create a vintage Halloween inspired wedding without going too over the top?! Thankfully, I stumbled upon this gorgeous soiree that is a perfect mix of vintage and Halloween for inspiration! This perfectly ghoulish event was photographed by Meg Perotti and hosted by The Stylish Soiree.

E-Session Preview

This past weekend Daniel and I had our e-session with the talented Jason of Staja Studios. As you can imagine, I am dying with excitement to see the pictures. So thankfully in the mean time I am tied over with this little preview from our session!

For this shot, I hung my Mason Jar Lantern DIY from a beautiful old oak.

Literary Romance

This jaw dropping rehearsal dinner is taken from the pages of a romantic novel, literally.  Using literary romance as the inspiration, an intimate library is brought to the outdoors at the historic 1924 Muckenthaler Mansion in Fullerton, CA.  From the antique book page table runner to overhead book displays, the inspiration is endless.

Rustic Elegance:Tablescape Inspiration

I simply adore this vintage tablescape inspiration from Kristy Rice over at Momental Designs! The inspiration for the shoot came from the gorgeous hand painted stationery.  Additional handmade details include the stunning paper flower cake topper and the hand painted paper table runner. Talk about a work of art!

From Kristy Rice of Momental Designs:

"Designing a tabletop concept has always been a dream of mine but I held off on so many occasions because frankly why would a stationer design a tablescape? Finally the inspiration struck one crisp fall day last year while sketching in Jim Thorpe, PA and I knew I could hold off no longer. I wanted to bring a unique, somewhat paper-centered approach to the world of tabletop shoots… My vision included a look that was both lush and romantic with a distinctly artistic edge. The inspiration began with a simple idea for a cake stand. I collect vintage milk glass and had recently purchased a yellow glass cake stand for my renewal celebration this coming May. I started to vision and sketch a three tiered cake incorporating these cake stands with of course my Sculpted Bloom Paper Flower as a topper. Truly all other design elements grew from the cake concept!"
