Montana BBQ Rehearsal Dinner

It isn't too often that I feature a rehearsal dinner and the truth is, they are pretty easy to overlook due to majority of every brides focus (myself included) on the big day!

Well this BBQ inspired rehearsal, from Carter & Cook Event Co. and Habitat Floral Studio, has me rethinking everything - from the fabulous rustic Montana venue to the down home country atmosphere, lets just say I am inspired big time!

From Lindsay (the bride): Friday night we hosted a Welcome BBQ for all guests on the banks of the Blackfoot river. Guests sat at picnic tables and feasted on typical BBQ fare — brisket, fried chicken, baked beans, grilled corn, and s’more bread pudding. We did a microbrew tasting featuring beers from Bitterroot Brewing Company — the brewery in my dad’s hometown of Hamilton, Montana — and guests went home with customized Bitterroot Brewing Company pint glasses. Lots of Bulliet Bourbon was also served — a favorite of Steve’s [the groom]. Guests were entertained with hatchet throwing (yes, this combined with the beer tasting/bourbon drinking did give me a little scare but the husband really wanted this one), roping lessons, and fly fishing lessons. 10 Foot Tall and 80 Proof kept us dancing with their unique combination of rock, country, and blue grass music!

An Oyster Inspired Rehearsal Dinner

I am hardcore swooning over this incredible, I mean INCREDIBLE rehearsal dinner from Tying the Knot Wedding Coordination and Greer G. Photography. The events design was inspired by the family's haritage in the oyster industry. Each table was named after an oyster dish, oyster shells were incorporated throughout the table decor, and the design team even DIYed an oyster chandelier. Adding to the raw beauty of the event, burlap was incorporated througout. Sounds pretty amazing huh?! It is!

A Shoreside Rehearsal Dinner

Check out this Lake Michigan shoreside rehearsal dinner created by the ladies over at Alison Events, ah-mazing!  The fresh party details included; striped table runners, tent draping, wildflower centerpieces and mismatched Liberty of London print napkins. Of course some delicious catering by Blue Plate, that included a roasted pig, corn on the cob, and potato salad. Helping to liven up the crowd was a New Orleans style jazz band that played throughout the evening. Ummm... is anyone else thinking what I am thinking? I would be a hundred and ten percent okay if this beyond gorgeous rehearsal dinner was my wedding!
